Checking System Information on CentOS 6.4

check the number of CPU that the server has:
cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep processor | wc -l

checking memory information:
cat /proc/meminfo

Checking hard drive information:
df -h

Checking Ethernet card information:
ifconfig

Getting detailed information about PCI buses and devices in the system:
lspci

Checking the OS of the machine:

cat /etc/redhat-release
